NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
I have been asked – “why are you setting this year’s Christmas show in the 1950s?” The main reason, if I am truthful, is that I am being a little self-indulgent.
As a child of the ‘50s, those memories that I have are very traditional. Over the years our audience, many of whom return every year, say that the show really puts them in the Christmas mood!
One of our younger readers remarked that the ‘50s were “a bit cheesy” – if they meant we were less cynical and more romantic, so be it!
Reminiscing is a pleasurable pastime, and this evening we hope to remind you of past Christmases that you have enjoyed.
The Maskers would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
