Maskers' Bassett Studio
on25th to 27th June 1973

‘Intent to Murder’ - was first presented at the Little Theatre, Bristol, in 1949, whence it was soon transferred to the West End, with a cast that included four well-known film stars. It has been described as an absorbing and exciting thriller with excellently drawn character studies. Not so much a ‘who dunnitt’ - we know that, shortly after the play starts - it is more of a psychological drama which brings us straight into the middle of a gripping story with a bang! Then the action flies off at unexpected tangents until the ending, which is ingeniously surprising. The play may be described as sheer entertainment.
