THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE

by Irita Kutchmy, based on the novel by C.S. Lewis

performed at the Gantry Theatre on 17th to 20th May, 1989

The year is 1939. Four children have been evacuated from London because of the threats of bombing. They find themselves in the countryside, at the stately home of Professor Kirk. They would very much like to begin exploring outside, but it is raining, and so they decide to explore inside the house instead.  In a spare room they find nothing but an old wardrobe ..........
